Das ist ein Major Release, also ein Sprung in der Hauptversion auf eine höhere Nummer, hier auf 14. Diese Releases kommen jetzt bei Business Central alle 6 Monate im Frühling und Herbst (also engl. bzw. amerikanisch Spring und Fall). Bislang war das jährlich (NAV 2018, NAV 2017 usw.). Die CUs kommen weiterhin dazwischen monatlich.

d.h. es gibt nun demnächst ein CU 06 für Version 13. und ein CU01 für Version 14?

Das würde dann ggf. heißen das ab Version 15 (Fall 2019) die reine AL Version kommt und die Updates für Version 13 und 14 immer noch in C/AL kommen.

Ich lass mich überraschen.

Service Packs und damit wohl auch CUs für Version 13 wird es nach dieser Tabelle noch ein Jahr geben.

(da das Startdatum für das Spring Release 2019 auf 01.04.2018 liegt, leider nicht unbedingt absolut zuverlässig).

Vermutlich, weil man zwingend updaten muss, um den Support für die Produktlinie bis 31.12.2025 sicherzustellen. Version 13 hat als Ablaufdatum April 2020.
